REVISED RULES FOR VARIOUS ORATIONS/ FELLOWSHIPS/ LECTURES & PAPER AWARDS OF UP CHAPTER OF ASI (APPROVED BY AGM AT ALIGARH ON 12TH NOVEMBER 2005)
Following are the Orations/ Fellowships/ Lectures and Paper Award currently available for all full members of ASI:

8. Dr. T. P. Banerjee Memorial Symposia
9. Senior Traveling Fellowship Cum Professorship
10. Dr. Tara Chandra Foundation For Surgical Research & Education Awards

3. Dr. S.P. Srivastava - Oncology Oration

» Dr. S. P. Srivastava Memorial Oncology Oration is limited to the subject of malignant diseases of various disciplines of Surgery.
» Applications will be considered on prescribed Performa complete in all respect along with required enclosures. Members applying for award must submit the manuscript of their work along with CV in six copies to Secretary when called for and Secretary must get them circulated among Award Committee Members at least before one month from the date of Award Committee meeting. Orations will be awarded to eminent surgeons and can be carried over for next year in the absence of eminent eligible candidate. Performa may be had from the office of Secretary, UP Chapter or can be had by downloading from our web-site www.upchapterasi.com
» Award: The awards for above mentioned orations and guest lecture will consist of a memento and a scroll.
Rules and Regulations for:
6. Dr. J.L. Rohtagi Travelling Fellowship
† Place of training and chosen field of training
† Letter of acceptance from the authorities of place of training
† Recommendation from two ASI members certifying that this training will be useful
† Self undertaking that this training will be complete within one year from the date of award and before the next AGM of UPASI
» After the training has been completed, the member shall submit his report to the secretary of UPASI giving details of his training and whether it was indeed useful for her/ him.
Rules and Regulations for:
7. Dr. R.K. Garg Best Paper Award for P.G. Students
» The Hony. Secretary will invite entries of theses through the HODs of all medical colleges of UP including central institutions in the month of January/ February every year. The last date of receipt of these theses shall be 31st May.
» Application: The candidate will have to submit 8 copies of the synopsis of her/ his thesis, to the Hony. Secretary of UPASI.
» These theses shall be judged at the mid term executive committee meeting by a board constituted from among the executive committee members.
» Award: The winner of this award shall be given a cash award of Rs. 500.00 (Rupees Five Hundred Only) and a scroll during the annual conference of UPASI.
Rules and Regulations for:
8. Dr. T.P. Banerjee Memorial Symposia
» Application: The moderator shall invite five persons for the symposium to be held during the next conference and invite them to submit their manuscript also.
» The moderator will then forward the names of these five speakers along with their manuscripts to the Hony. Secretary of UPASI as well as the Organizing Secretary of the conference by 30th June.
» Award: A memento and scroll will be given to all the speakers during the Annual Conference of UPASI.
